this actually plays into my goals well. We at Grief University are here to stress-test the theories of griefing so they may be utilized by the public to bring suffering to each other. When CCP nerfs this particular strike vector, we shall test another until such time as we find a workaround then educate the public in the fashion of an actual learning group.
If CCP plugs it we'll find yet another way to break the game for people who think blue on blue should be eliminated. There will always be a market for destruction and sabotage, and so long as there is, we will have both purpose and employment. There is always a market for individuals willing to be the dirty hand grubbing through the pile of crap to find an advantage over the enemy.
The metagame won't sleep, and there's always someone looking for an edge. We will make sure that edge is there, and that it remains sharp for the real giants among New Eden Intel.
Back-stabbing, infiltration, up-rooting empires...
We see it happen all across New Eden, so it shouldn't be anything new to us. After all, one of EVE's biggest phrase is "Trust absolutely no one." This saying should hold true in DUST 514 as well. Members within your corporation may share a common goal, but their motives to achieve that goal will clearly be different from your own. As will the process they go about reaching that goal.
As you stated, the metagame won't sleep. There are always edges for people to gain the upper hand on their opponent. One such risk we take entering Planetary Conquest was indeed being infiltrated and having our match thrown in the enemies favor, it's something that should be expected. It's something that'll happen to everyone sooner or later.
It's these things that lured me to the EVE Universe, and it's these things I enjoy seeing. No matter how frustrating it can be, at the end of the day, it's just a game and I can eventually laugh it off and say "Well... that surely was well played." Because I know expecting the unexpected is what New Eden preaches on a daily basis.
I honestly would hate to see a mechanic implemented to remove someone from a match. Nor do I want to see friend fire turned off in Planetary Conquests.
After all... PC is suppose to be the more "risky" game play offered by CCP for DUST 514. It's a risk for everyone involved.

it was an irony thing. We knew damn well you'd never pay up. On the other hand I must applaud the quality of responses from your corporation. There is a distinct lack of gorilla-like chestbeating and roaring impotently. So far your comments are well thought out and considered.
By the way, we were actually hoping your teachers and competent warfighters would be the ones you were fielding. it would make this feel less like a teenager robbing a kindergarten class. DUST University is unlikely to be the target of further aggression, as let's face it. it would be far more fun to fry a real corp.
That actually accomplishes our charter goals nicely. The dissemination of subversive tactics, sabotage and Intel-theft is our purpose. We stress-test the theorycrafting so you, the consumer can partake in an EVE-style metagame. As said earlier the choice of targets, though distasteful, was done for pure irony.
Gorilla-like chest pounding and roaring impotently is something left to people who don't understand that this is New Eden. As I said, this is what is to be expected. The majority of the D-UNI members who posted here are familiar with how New Eden is, and that's probably why we're chillaxed about what happened.
We've all seen the posts, and we see that many are calling for blood due to the attack on a otherwise neutral University. Frankly, I have to applaud you for doing something we should have been expecting, and even briefly discussed during internal classes.
We weren't prepared and we lost a district because of it. Good game.

I'm the snidely Whiplash of DUST 514, the minor villain who will lay your weaknesses and wounds bare that greater forces than I can attack them.
Sadly, I'm sure you'll be going down in history. Attacking RIFT and D-UNI well within twenty-four hours of each other, this very thread being up prior to or during the engagement that took place between RIFT and PRO.
Quote:CCP provided the game. We're just making sure New Eden has access to the toolkit.
More theorycrafting and pain to come in the future.
We look forward to educating you.
Oh... I am waiting.
